If you have already given up frequent visits to the hairdresser to cut the split ends alone and get your bangs right, you probably already have enough technique and experience to go further and perform a transformation on the strands with a layered cut. Start by dividing the hair into two parts, one above and one below the ear, and secure the top part to the top of the head. Divide the bottom in two and cut to the desired length and repeat on the other side. Loosen the front part and divide in half and cut the size you want in the middle strand to use as a base for the rest of the cut. Then make the cuts on the sides, performing the same process. Then, make a ponytail on top of the head, joining all the strands and unravel with scissors. Loosen the strands and perform diagonally frayed cuts in locks. Check out the step-by-step video below:
