McDonald’s fans have been left “devastated” after the fast food chain confirmed it is temporarily removing its new Chicken Big Mac from its menu. The limited edition burger was only launched in the UK last week on February 2 for a six-week run.
The Chicken Big Mac launched in the UK on 2 February. It’s styled just like the beef Big Mac, but it replaces the two beef patties with two chicken breast patties in a crispy coating. Launched for a limited run, the burger was set to be sold only until 15 March.
The new Chicken Big Mac is pretty much the same as a regular Big Mac with the special sauce, but it has chicken patties instead of beef burgers.
The fast food chain launched the new burger just days ago – and now it’s had to be removed from the menu due to high demand. McDonald’s took to Twitter to announce the news, saying that the burger is “sold out almost everywhere” after launching in stores on February 1.
