Currently, a veggie burger is not available at all Wendy’s locations. Any Wendy’s burgers can be ordered without the meat. You can order the majority of Wendy’s breakfast sandwiches without meat. Unfortunately, you can not order a sausage egg burrito at Wendy’s without meat since they are preassembled with the meat beforehand.
It is also not clear whether the burger is a test run or a permanent menu item. During a 2019 second-quarter earnings call in August, Wendy’s CEO Todd Penegor said the chain is considering adding plant-based meat options to its menu.
It, like all of Wendy’s burgers, is made-to-order. Sadly, there’s a catch right now: the Plantiful Burger is only available in Canada.
You don’t go to Wendy’s for just a hamburger. Jr. hamburger. Review: I felt a kind of honor biting into this one. The pickles were crunchy, the onion had zip, the ketchup was good, but the meat was pretty underseasoned. It was so small, with just a single sliver of onion and a couple of tiny pickles.
