what type of alcohol would you put in hot apple cider? DamageInc. i might try cinnamon schnapps or vodka. u could try your favorite alcohol Goldschlager-cinnamon schnapps is good. Spiced rum is also good. (Go Captain Morgan!) Brandy, or even better Grand Marnier which is orange brandy that is sweet. Fantastic stuff.
Looking at the alcohol content of cider produced by the fermentation of apple juice based on alcohol by volume (ABV), it’s fair to say that it will not be considered strong compared to other alcohol drinks fermented this way. The main factor in determining the cider’s strength is the amount of sugar added at the start of fermentation.
You may also know that fruits are fermented to make alcoholic drinks, with prime examples being grapes for wine and apples for hard cider (and a lesser known example being bananas ). Sure you can ferment apples to make hard cider, but what about apple juice? Can apple juice turn into alcohol?
I use moonshine over the Holidays It works quite well with apple cider. Actually apple cider and moonshine are 2 of the main ingredients to apple pie moonshine.
