She’s eating everything from truffle mac n’ cheese to wedding cake on Top Chef. So when she’s not filming, Padma Lakshmi keeps it light. This explains her love of soups, salads, and stock-infused dishes like ramen.

The first, The Padma Collection, is a line of dinnerware composed of Moroccan ceramics and Turkish glass. The second, Easy Exotic, is a line of more casual kitchenware.

Her Hulu show Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi premiered on June 19, 2020. Lakshmi’s first cookbook, Easy Exotic, a compilation of international recipes and short essays released in 1999, was awarded the Best First Book at the 1999 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Versailles.

During each season of Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi is lucky enough to eat food prepared by a slew of the most promising young chefs around. While it seems clear that she rarely cleans her plate, all of that eating still adds up very quickly. As a result, she has revealed that during the filming process for each season she gains 10-15 pounds.
