The Berney brand remains largely unknown to the general public… However, it is already almost fifty years old since it was born in 1972. It all started when Henri Berney, a professional watchmaker, decided to produce wristwatches with components in an artisanal way. exclusively Swiss.
Now in his eighties, Henri Berney continues to make a living from and for his passion: traditional watchmaking. After working with his two daughters, he still works on a daily basis in pursuit of this adventure, now accompanied by Carole, his granddaughter.
This duo is installed in the village of the Abbey in the Vallée de Joux. From their window, they can see the headquarters of the Breguet house, located at the end of their garden. Two watchmakers and two very different ways of looking at high-end watchmaking: one, industrial and the other, artisanal.
