The Strike Fighter Squadron 27, nicknamed the “Royal Maces”, is based at the Air Station Iwakuni of the Marines in Japan (legacy of the Second World War). This unit belongs to Carrier Air Wing 5.
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Royal Maces” (ref. IW389107) is inspired by the exclusively military edition developed by IWC with the members of the squadron. The chronograph features a black ceramic case with Ceratanium pushers and crown.
The dial unveils the “Maces” patch at 6 o’clock as well as a yellow display of the date and day of the week. The stitching of the bracelet, the end of the chronograph second hand and the small seconds hand also adopt the signature yellow of the “Maces”.
Made of grade 5 titanium, the caseback is engraved with the silhouette of the squadron’s F / A-18E Super Hornet jet as well as its official name, “VFA-27”.
