the sport-chic steel watch according to Speake-Marin

Royal Oak and Nautilus, the two sport-chic “steel” watches par excellence. Their success is monstrous » ; so much so that they have both become inaccessible. Impossible to have them in store at the retail price and impossible to afford them on the second-hand market as their prices have exploded.

So inevitably, customers are turning to other models, in the same spirit… First, the Overseas by Vacheron Constantin, which has also become untouchable. In this context, other big names in watchmaking have been offering their sport-chic models in steel with an integrated bracelet for some time now: from Lange & Söhne to Laurent Ferrier via Moser, Tissot and a few others.

Today, it’s Speake-Marin’s turn to follow this trend with this model called Ripples.

It sports a new “La City” case (40 mm, screw-down crown, water-resistant to 50 metres) (the watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin is English but has since sold his brand) which reflects the architecture of London’s famous financial district. As for the very flexible integrated steel bracelet, it alternates polished and brushed links.
