During our visit, we experienced curious scenes of police arriving and causing a rush of street vendors collecting their products, soon after, when they left, they were all installed again.
Confusion is part of the environment and bargaining is natural, as competition is great, both from stores and even among consumers, as more than 400,000 people circulate daily through the neighborhood, and on the eve of special dates then, this number exceeds 1 million.

Most stores are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (some open earlier, others close earlier or later). Each has its own schedule.
On Saturdays, most stores are open from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. From September 15th to December 15th, stores may close later due to the high demand for Christmas shopping.
Sundays and holidays: The March 25 trade does not have a set rule on Sundays and holidays. Some stores are open, others are not, but there are always some open until 2 pm, especially near the Municipal Market.
note: On holidays between 15th of September and 15th of December, almost all stores on the 25th of March are open (Christmas sales period).

The best way to get there is via the train or subway station in Brás (red line) which are linked together. The train station is just 200 meters from Largo da Concordia, the ideal place to start the shopping spree. Driving is not a good idea, as the traffic in the area is chaotic and you will have to spend on parking.
