Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Blue

Initially developed with the idea of paying homage to all the aesthetic codes imagined in 2010 by Laurent Ferrier (former watchmaker at Patek Philippe and emeritus racing driver), the Classic Origin has become a classic that successfully fits into the within the LF collection.

Besides the fact that blue is the designer’s favorite color, Laurent Ferrier considers it essential in any watch collection (blue has been new black for ten years now). After the Classic Micro-Rotor, the Classic Traveller, the Square Micro-Rotor, the Annual Calendar School, the Grand Sport Tourbillon and finally the very recent Sport Auto, it was obvious to dress the Classic Origin with a blue dial deep.

The intensity of the blue of this new dial gives this latest reference a very modern and dynamic spirit in line with the previous Classic Origin Opaline and Classic Origin Green. That being said, with this more intense hue than before, this new shade of blue brings a certain breath of fresh air to the brand’s entire catalogue.

Declining in several tones, this opaline dial offers a gradation of blues from the lightest in its center to the deepest near the periphery. This one is adorned with a powder gray railroad, punctuated with sky blue numbers. A powder gray central cross associated with four drop-shaped indexes, characteristic of the brand, complete this composition.

A snailed seconds counter at 6 o’clock is enhanced with sky blue markers. The entire dial is surmounted by the famous Asegai-shaped LF hour and minute hands in 18-carat white gold.
