Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Infinite: infinite time

The aesthetics of the Atmos are characterized by the distinctive shape of its mechanism. With no visual distraction, the one-piece glass cabinet highlights the Atmos mechanism, which literally seems to float in zero gravity. explains Lionel Favre, Director of Product Design at Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The mechanism of the Atmos is indeed maintained by glass supports, designed to be almost invisible. Whatever the angle of observation, it offers itself entirely to the gaze, revealing the ingenuity with which the bellows, the chains and the gears make the clock turn. And the passing time.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 570 is a movement that displays hours and minutes. In addition to a design reduced to the essentials (which avoids excessive energy consumption), this movement features numerous Haute Horlogerie finishes: brushed surfaces, polished edges, Côtes de Genève…

The black lacquered dial is made up of two concentric circular discs displaying applied polished stick indexes and hands matching the silver rhodium finish of the mechanism. On an outer metal ring, tiny indented dots mark the minutes. Their shape echoes the round imprints of the annular balance wheel which oscillates rhythmically under the movement.
