Dua Lipa was already unofficially the image of Versace. Photographed many times with the clothes of the luxury brand, it is today signing its first official campaign. As revealed on Versace’s Instagram last night, the pop star signed on to the brand to become the face of the house’s AW21 (Fall / Winter 2021) series.
In the four photos taken by Mert & Marcus ahead of the final launch next week, Dua wears a yellow dress with a sweetheart neckline, a geometric ensemble, and a red ensemble consisting of a skirt and crop top, as well as the incredible platforms and leather scarves that punctuated Donatella’s winter collection. She also transformed her hair a bit, sporting a long, very straight copper hairstyle, which, to be frank, makes me consider dyeing.

“Dua Lipa! I can’t tell you how excited and grateful I am to have you as the star of my next campaign. The world is not ready to see how beautiful you are in these pictures! I love you, ”Donatella captioned in a photo she posted on her own account.
Uploading a series of images to her own site, Dua called the designer “an icon and a legend”, adding “this day will be a day I will never forget !!!!”. The amount of exclamation marks used by each of them suggests that they may have been very excited about the big reveal, but who knows?
Of course, Dua Lipa joins a long (LONG!) List of iconic Versace girls. After Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer in the 90s, the new guard includes Adut Akech, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and the house’s very first curvy model, the historic Precious Lee.
